An eclectic collection of original and copy photographic prints gathered or taken by Mr. Johnson in connection with his historical research and writings that were published in the Fargo Forum newspaper. All, except the Dana Wright collection, are related to the history of the Red River Valley, especially the Fargo-Moorhead area. Some of the images include of the Halstad, Minn. high school, Joseph Hoeffner grave, and the buildings and staff of early Fargo newspapers. The People series includes of Rev. A.T. Deming family, Alsop family of Moorhead, Minn., Dana Wright of St. John, N.D., Charles and Mary Andrews, and Luman Tenney family.
